I promise

Love vs. Money is the shit. The best mixes and production so far this year. Dave and Jaycen definately did their thing on this album. Heres a vid I totally swagger jacked form the homie Apollo and his blog again lol. Dream works on two of the joints in less than 2 hours. Craziness.

Yeah, i definitely enjoyed the album and especially the production (from a producer's standpoint). And that "Put It Down" is a beast..that was the track that made me get the album. The mixing is beastly also, I'm envious!
Good look on the video bruh

Yea I heard the album. Have never been a big dream fan, but went out anyway and spent my money on it. I'm an aspiring engineer so....for the most part I was getting it to hear Dave & Jaycen work their magic. Your right, the album is hot from some points. Mixing and production...and it stops there. I don't want to get on a rant..but this is exactly whats wrong with the industry. Dude is a nice songwriter and has written some "hits". I can't take that away from him..but DUDE stay in ya lane. He is not an entertainer/artist. No matter how good the mixer...the mix should never outshine the damn song. I don't want listen to an album and be like "fuck this mix is hot, but this singing is hideous and songwriting is so so". Hot mixes and hot tracks are nice, but whatever happened to the most important ingredient? ARTISTRY! To be in this industry in whatever capacity you should be able to look at someone in the game and want to get to their level or surpass them. I'm trying to become a mix engineer so I do my studying up of all the top ones out there. Dave, Jaycen, KD, Manny, Tony, etc. Just like aspiring songwriters & producers should be looking at the top ones in the game and studying accordingly. Mix that with wanting to bring something new to the game and it's a beautiful thing. God help the kid that's looking at Dream and wants to be a artist. All I'm saying is it sets a dangerous precedent of mediocrity.

god damn that boy went IN on that comment! lol
But i can't argue with any of the points made in there. I really AM on this album because of the production and mixes.
Hey yo, Anonymous, I just want to know how long you've been an aspiring mixer/engineer? and is there anywhere i can hear ur work?

wow anonymous im actually excited someone is actually reading and getting something out of the blog, like everyone else i totally agree with you, i really like his style of song writing though for him, but its just a taste thing i guess. hes definately not the nest singer but its a feel. dave and jaycen make it all worth while for me anyway, the mixes are so exciting and fresh, even better than the first album. jaycen is really coming into his own, wish i could get him to do a lil interview for the blog. but anonymous u should start a blogger identity and become a regular, you have some good points.
